Busy Week

This week will be the most busy week for all GD year 2 student... OMG.. Everyone was so tired including me...

Monday:

Although today we got no class, but we still have meeting... for this project. I have done 2 locations in flash in the weekend and able to finish all 20 painting (in water colour). I feel my eye was going to drop down soon....

So today me and Andy will arrange all the locations in proper way (the previous was very messy and the layout still not comfirm yet). Lucky, during the weekend I have draw a top view of a storm drain and we try to apply into every layout. But the problem is, it look too weird when we apply. So we actually stuck quite a long time, thinking and exploring. While Penny is drawing our site map, she prefer to do some drawing. After 1 hours, I think that "why not make the topview into front view, so it was like looking front. Then Andy suggest that spider web and spider can be added into it. So I try my very best to arrange the layout while Andy doing the intro page (the previous was not very good) and continue the other locations. Although three of us doing different things, but we ask each other for better suggesting and opinion.

After few hours, finally I have done the layout. We think that it was not too bad to apply into every layout (Hope that Mr Sean will approve it ^^"). Haiz... Now already 5 o'clock....
we just do so little thing (feel like bang my own head on the wall). And Penny have to go back earlier because her sister was going back to australia tonight. So just me and Andy continue do our work... (hungry evening) :(

Tuesday:

As usual, morning we have Mr Arthur class. After lunch, we started to work again.... (not only our group) Today Penny was not here, only me and Andy continue working in Computer Lap. I am searching for more music and sound (I am doing the sound editting by using MAC- Wahahaha) and....the most important thing is.... strengthen our ideas, cause our idea and mood is mystery,but I feel it was not really mystery yet. Therefore, I thinking of making all 10 locations become more mystery as we can. Sometimes I really scared that although we have the ideas but the execution was not as good as we think and imagine.

But another problem that we face now was the button. Haiz.... all the pages cannot be link.... :( We spending quite a long time to "experiment", but still cannot works. Suddenly, Ms Ruby come in to the Mac Lap and teach us (yuhoo~~). She say that our button was too complicated that it cant support, hahaha. Then she also share some information about the flow cart and site map to us (we are very confuse).

Wednesday:

All of us are busy for the Eco bag competition, so nobody in my group was doing it until 2 o'clock (finish for class for video screening, I think this session was the most interesting among all, because the short video that Mr Sean show us was very meaningful to me and my future career, not project). After that, I am added in all the sound into the flash so that it will bring out the mysterious mood.

About 4 30pm, 3 of us only run to Mr Sean for tutorial, lucky he was not yet back. I was quite happy that he said our visual was very pretty that bring out the mood, but he was affaid that we could finish it on time (but I think we can make it, because the last few week we are only using Andy laptop for this project and tmr I will bring my pc to his house to work on, I think it would be faster if 2 of us doing flash while Penny doing the mood board and site map - she request to do that). Mr Sean also teach us some skill during the presentations, that we cant mention that our ideas was - 3 places with something, I mean the dirty thing that created by human and 7 places without it, just give people on some ideas inside the drain through storm drain)

Thursday:

Today I bring my whole computer to Andy house beacause I personally think that our group are too slow, so I myself have the responsible to pick up the whole progress. Whole day, me and andy discussing on all the layout and the movement in all locations (izzit ok to bring out our message). I also try my very best to brainstorm more interesting idea to add on in our flash (mystery mood bring out).

And Penny, she work on her mood board. She download most of the picture from internet and some cut out from magazines.

Friday:

This whole week until presentation, I think I have to stay in Heidy house (haiz ...). My pc is here, and there is no other places for me to do my homework d. So today we will continue to work on on our flash. Honestly, flash become more easy for us (I mean not too hard and Andy was quite expert on flash, he was a fast learner - very mush faster than me). We try our best to do the flash and finding for more appropriate sound effect (since our sound effect place a very important role in our project to enhance the message).

We got a very good website to get all the sound effect: http://www6.flash8.net/ from Ieu Ieu. She tell us there is lots of sound there and easy to download. Really thanks a lot to her. We finally get a lots of sound effect there. After adding the sound, we think that our flash is much more better than previous. And today me and Andy work till midnight cause we will going to off on tomorrow (Saturday).

So we try our very best to do......

Start School Again

This week is the 1st week after CNY. So everyone have to start work again, continue to execute our idea.



Monday:

No class, but have to start work. Hiaz... ^^" . So today we went to Andy house for discussion. We devide our job into 3 parts, penny and me will used photoshop and applied photocopy effect and it sketch out. Me, my job, also have to paint out all in water colour. But my water colour skill already fluctuate. Hiaz... but i will try my best to pick up my skill (wahahaha) ^^v
And Andy will do the flash.

After that, we also discuss about what we (Penny and I) see in the drain, our experience, what we have hear inside (some funny stuff that we seen inside)

After drawing a few drawing, i think i would able to pick up my previous skill. Hohoho... ^^"

Tuesday:

After 1 day of working, Andy start to scan into softcopy and applied effect (water colour and dry brush effect). After that I continue to paint water colour... many to go... ** haiz....
Penny will crop out 10 different storm drains.

Wednesday:

We set a target that we have to finish at least 3 locations. So we keep doing.... I keep drawing and painting (draw till wanna pengsan).

Thursday:

We try our very best to finish our target 3 locations.Me and Andy staying in class keep doing... **.... In fact, we cant make it (cry...) We only able to do one only.

Ending of Chinese New Year

Sunday (14th day of CNY):

Today I went to BU to brief our idea to Andy who just back from Sibu. Finally......
he was back. I so admire other group that all the groupmate was there during the holidays for discussion. But although andy was in Sibu, we discuss a lot by using msn (high tech), no need face to face. Ok back to topic...... I tell him every single things that me and penny discuss during the holiday. Penny was not here today, she got something to do, I cant force her to come cause CNY was ending soon, just give her sometime to enjoy 1st, when start school...... (ngeak ngeak ngeak) But we chat on9 by using msn again, so this was the 1st time 3 of us discuss togather during this holiday.

Andy show me all the sound that he had downloaded... because in this project, our sound effect will be very important. And Andy was going to hander all the sound because he was more expert on sound effect (last year the video he do was very successful and the music was very nice). Then me and penny will hander all the visual style that we going to do. The most important thing, flash..... all of us will do it togather.

I discuss with andy about the visual style, due to our title, idea and mood, all of us struggling on choosing a right style and we are not really good in photoshop skill. At 1st we try to use B&W for the background and photo for the subject, but it look weird when applied into flash.

Try try and try.... Do, do and do. Finally I try to use water colour for the background and using photo for our subject. So we can see slightly diference between the background and the subject. We was quite happy that finally this style was quite suitable for our mood- miystery ^^" I think my watercolour skill not really "bad" that still able to paint something like that (hohoho...)

Monday (15th day of CNY):

Again, we still got discussion this morning. I show both of them ..... Jeang x5 ..... my greatest artwork. I thinl it was not too bad, and after scan into softcopy. We did some photoshop effect on that and the overall looking was not too bad. So we move on that style. Andy will do the effect on computer, penny will sckech out the outline and I will paint it.

Other than that, we choose suitable font for our website. It was quite hard to choose a suitable font so that the viewer would see it clearly and understand what we are talking about yet bring out the mood-mystery. So we waste quite a lot of time looking for suitable font for website, because in the past our font are only apply into 2D and now apply into 3D. Therefore, the way people read are also different. At last we choose Chiller font for all the text and ............font for title.
